Is it still summer? Why is it so hot at the end of October? Not too hot up here, but a very welcome warm fall. The fish don’t mind either. With the cool lows in the evenings and frigid morning temps it has the fish on the chew in the heat of the day. As the late morning and into the afternoon warms up so do the bugs and the fish. The unusually warm afternoons have really turned up the fish. We are somehow seeing hoppers bouncing about again. Don’t be scared to throw the big dry or dry dropper rig again. This afternoon the fish were carnivorous! Chasing and pouncing like cats. Today was fun!
